Do hawks hate crows?
No one really knows.
When chasing a hawk,
one crow talks, and
another one squawks.
But it’s probably only a job.
Do crows hate hawks?
Or do they talk shop,
at the end of the day.
Sharing carrion sites
they passed along the way.
Do hawks hate crows?
Or send Christmas Cards –
well, who’s it from?
Don’t you remember,
he flew out of the Sun,
raided our nest, and
ate our young.
So, what is a hawk
and what is a crow?
And how can a man
treat his neighbor so?
I know it’s not all petals
and perfume,
and sooner or later,
they bring out the broom.
But why can’t we learn to hate
like hawks and crows?
